Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
STRATIGeX Co Intl Ltd ("STRATIGeX", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means the STRATIGeX team decides why and how your personal data is used.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit stratigex.com, request the READINESS™ study, complete the owner self-assessment, book a call or otherwise deal with us.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Your name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your telephone number, when you request the READINESS™ study or contact us
- Your responses to the owner self-assessment, and the question-by-question summary generated from them, if you choose to share them with us
- Information you provide when booking or attending a call, including your business, sector, approximate turnover band and exit timeframe
- The content of any correspondence between you and the STRATIGeX team
Information we collect automatically
- Technical data including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system and referring page
- Standard server request information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the page requested. If you accept analytics in the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure pages viewed and enquiry actions. Analytics remains off unless you accept, and you can change your choice at any time from the Analytics settings link in the homepage footer.

Information from third parties
- Where you find us through a professional network or referral, we may receive your name and business details from that source
- Publicly available business information, such as company filings, where we are assessing whether we are a suitable fit for your business
3. A note about the assessment
The owner self-assessment asks you to make candid judgements about your own business, including areas of weakness. Your answers and the summary stay in your browser unless you choose to share them with us.
We treat responses you share with us as commercially confidential. They are used to understand your situation and to make any conversation with us more useful. We do not sell them, publish them, or share them with any buyer, intermediary or third party outside the processors listed in section 6.
You are never obliged to complete the assessment to receive the study or to speak with us.
4. Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. Ours are set out below.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, our interest is in developing and running an advisory business. We have considered whether this overrides your rights and concluded it does not, given the nature and limited scope of the data involved. You can object at any time, as set out in section 8.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can email privacy@stratigex.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
5. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your assessment responses or the details of your business with prospective buyers, brokers, lenders or any other third party for their own purposes.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. No decision about you is made automatically on the basis of it.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data with a small number of service providers who process it on our instructions:

We may also share data with our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary, and with regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required to do so.
If our business is reorganised, merged or acquired, personal data may transfer as part of that transaction. We would tell you if that changed how your data is used.
7. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers are based in the United States, so your personal data is transferred outside the UK.
Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, which may include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it.

8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Be informed about how we use your data, which is the purpose of this policy
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erasure of your data in certain circumstances, sometimes called the right to be forgotten
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Data portability, to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing, which we will always honour
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it
To exercise any of these, email privacy@stratigex.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by calling 0303 123 1113, or by writing to the ICO at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
9. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which we delete or anonymise
- Assessment responses shared with us: up to 24 months, unless you become a client
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement and for 6 years afterwards, to meet legal, tax and professional obligations
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete, and we review our list periodically to remove contacts who have not engaged
- Website analytics: collected only where you have accepted analytics, and held by Google under its standard retention
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting access within the STRATIGeX team to those who need it.
No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO and, where required, you.
11. Cookies
Our site sets no cookies of its own. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies - see our Cookie Policy for the detail. We store your analytics choice in your browser’s local storage for up to 180 days so we can remember it. You can change your choice from Analytics settings in the homepage footer.
12. Children
Our site and services are for business owners and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe we have, contact privacy@stratigex.com and we will delete it.
13. Other websites
Our site links to third party sites, including our booking page. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing data to them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Where changes are significant, we will tell you by email or by a notice on the site.
